OK
I have a fuel enrichment device that came off of my boss Harley called a Thunderjet...
It goes into the carb above the venturi and adds extra fuel to help boost the mid range and up, Has any body ever seen one of these used on a VW? here's some more on it...

The hose goes in the bottom of the float bowl, the aluminum body has a jet under the knurled cap. [looks like a Solex jet] I picked up a 28PCI that I posted in a earlier post that I want to build in to a race carb just for the hell of it and I think I'm going to mount this on it and find some one to test it out for me. Do you think this will benefit a 36hp on the salt?

Hmm. I´ve seen those around. But I´ve never figured out what they were good for, except the bragging advantage.
- extra fuel in the midrange doesnt help, unless it ran super lean previusly. Pig rich KILLS performance.
- if its a race carburettor where the venturi area is grinded out for the ability of more air in the rpms, there may be an idea in using it to improove the idle to main transition, which normally would suffer from this mod. This way it also may help in not having to run a very large main jet as some of the fuel will/should then come from this nozzle.
