I 've got a 15 window, oval, an 914, all 3of them are dead if I don't start them up every week or so .What's the best way to find a current leak in the wiring? or was that just "Hitler's revenge!"

I don't think it is Hitler's Revenge because I can leave my SC for more than a week and I don't have any problems. Just make sure you have all your stuff grounded and off when you are away. No leaving your headlights and radios on, if applicable. I don't think the batter has a matter in this becauseI used to run regular batteries and never had a problem there either. Have an Optima now for the just in case purposes...though I have killed that when I left my lights on one day.

My '64 bus can sit for weeks without draining the battery, but my '69 beetle will draw down a brand new and fully charged battery to where it won't start in about a week and a half. I haven't been able to find the leak, but I don't care anymore. I bought a 12V marine battery charger which mounnt right to the battery, and has a little 110V wire lead which I run along the passenger side of the rear bottom seat cushion.
Then, I just pull into the garage, pull out the extension cord, and plug-er in. Problem solved. I'm going to get one for my bus as well, since I sometimes don't run the bus for 3 or 4 weeks at a time during the winter.
It only costs $34 bucks.
