I have a '66 that recently had the entire brake system gone through and fixed. The other day I see brake fluid all over the right left wheel and on the ground and the brake pedal goes straight to the floor. What could be the problem now? What is it with busses and brakes? I have a '71 that I can't stop either.

Either a leaky wheel cylinder or fitting in the line. No fluid + air in lines = no pedal. You need to fix the problem at that wheel, re-fill fluid res. and bleed brakes. Good luck.

find where its coming from. what do you mean when you say the brakes were "gone thru"? which wheel is the "right left wheel"?

Same thing happened to me, it was a "brand new" wheel cylinder. Got a new one, bled the system, and it is working fine. Aftermarket S*&T! See the rants forum on crappy replacement parts.

i had my brakes done at a shop once, and they installed the metal brake line so it was rubbing up against the hub. eventually ground a hole in it, and fluid went everywhere. just take the hub off and have someone push the brakes, you should be able to figure out where the leak is coming from.

i just put lines and a master cylinder on my 60 bus. easy and fun. i had fluid coming out by the drivers side rear. i didnt tighten one of the fittings. keep the cup full fo fluid or you have to bleed the whole damn thing.
