Nice find...how do the semaphores work on it?
You must be in a warm climate somewhere.

What a great first car!!!!! Keep the pics coming.
What's the plan for the interior? Let's see some pics of the Jer-Fab beam. 8)

Thanks for the positive comments, the semaphores work to my knowlege but when the previous owner had it someone had stolen the passenger side semaphore:( so i need to get a new one. As for the interior im going to leave it as i got it with just the seats but im going to fat mat the interior of it so that will act as my door panels.

And can anyone tell me if this is the OG rear seat for a 58 euro or post up a pic of a OG 58 euro seat...

Thank you.

Are you staying 6 volt or going 12? If you go 12 volt, you are going to need a pair of semiphores, not just 1.

They are available in 12 volt, but they ain't cheap!

Thank you.

No, a euro 58/59 would have a vinyl/cloth interior, like whats pictured below. Check out the 58/59 sticky up above for more info.

And i have another question for everyone my bug is originally a glacier blue which is a one year color and i know that it under this black and white and a layer of red. but i dont kno the condition of the paint. Do u think that i should risk it and try to strip this paint???

I would say keep it the way it is. It is a very nice looking car! Plus if you strip the paint off, you need to be ABSOLUTLY POSTIVE that there is Glacier Blue under there and if you strip it to far down, all you will have is metal. Once you have the money and time and are absolutely positive you want to go back to the original color, take the interior out, take the windows out, and strip the paint off. I would take it to a professional to get it painted, and see if you can get a swatch of their "Glacier Blue" because you won't find VW paint anymore in these special 1 or 2 year colors. The paint job (if you were to take everything out) typically cost $3,000 to do, some charge more some less. It also depends on the color, i.e. I was quoted from a shop near by that to paint my car it original color (Panama Beige 2 year only) and if I was to strip it myself of paint and interior, it would be $3000 but if I wanted them to do take everything out and strip it, $6000. Depends on your area and color.

I like it. I really like the black/white color combo with the white wheels.

I just found the time to give it a quick cleaning and then take some better pics of it.
