Hello my friends, I would like to discover the M-code lockable for the engine hood, I believe is not so impossible to get it.

For this task we need the participation of all members who have birth certificate with unknown M-codes and lockable instaled, also others who have the non lockable and M-codes equal the ones who have lockable, let's give a try.

Since there was the option for Lockable and non lockable for the rear hood, this must the one of the unknown codes, we need all help in decodifying this M-code, has i said i think is not impossible  but we all must help.

I will begin with my 51 sedan 11C exported.

The car has original split lockable handle at the decklid

Birth Certificate with M-codes unkown are:

M-009
M-010
M-035

Anyone else with this M-codes and handle lockable at engine hood?? Let's see what we have! let's find this M-code! from this 3 M-codes most be one of them.

Regards!

But then why is not the M-code M094 in my Birth Certificate, has i said it has lockable decklid...

Besides the model designation for split deluxe is 11C or the info models 113 is included the 11C -> 113 and 11A -> 111, has far I know, the 113 designation was for later vw's.

Despite, the split I have has lockable handle and that code is not in the birth certificate.

Or the lockable key was for deluxe models and non lockable for standards?

regards.

Sorry I do not agree but I respect, the car had 2 owners, I live in Island in Atlantic Ocean far from Germany and to get original replacement parts was not easy, I believe in case something get broken the substitution would be made with early parts, example the popnose went and was changed the one from 58-62...

The L handle was very comum to be changed to the T handle, my other split had the popnose but didnt had L handle....guess had the T handle...

I repeat original parts was hard to get it here, which makes me believe is really original from the car, tomorrow I take picture and I post it here.

Regards.

Sounds like you are making up your own theories to make you believe that it was original. Thats fine if thats what you want to believe, but it doesnt make sense to ask everybody why its not on your birth certificate when you wont even consider the possibility that the handle could have been added.

horatiocaine Sun Dec 18, 2011 10:46 pm

maybe the original locking handle was on the original deck-lid that was replaced during accident repair,

Wiggy you are right, what can I say...

Both keys, one from the L handle and the other from the Dashpod switch despite the switch key went...the last owner was keeping the key....

If u look the car is Pastel Green, the color is everywhere, the decklid is pastel green, could happen, but I insist this was an Island and the VW split was no so many to find decklid and pastel green has a replacement.

We are fine...the both keys are there, the color pastel green is there, so the thing is, there is out there someone with a Birth Certificate for the 11C with the M code 094?

Thanks and best regards.

So that peashooter rear apron must be original too?

Whatever you say chief, I really dont care, but I can show you the exact same things you show on my 51 rag, and I installed the lock from another car.

Wiggy Mon Dec 19, 2011 11:45 am

Magic!

franklinunes Mon Dec 19, 2011 12:03 pm

Really magic. But the car is with me +20 years...at that time 20 - 30 years there was not internet to buy parts in an easy way, and most important there was not swap meetings here to buy correct parts, so what can I say?

The most comum was not install later parts? is only me who tells this? I read lots of people speaking about that, more dificult to find correct parts more comum to change to later parts...this is trivial.

U are correct, has I said before, I can considerer they were instaling it after.

Birth Certicate sedan 11C with M-code 094? someone?

Or maybe just maybe they either missed it when they where typing the Bc !! . Cause I can tell you that lately the Bc have been getting skimpy on info like the micro fish is fallin apart stories which I think is BS I think their just missing flat out missing !! Ive worked with micro fish for years and they dont fall apart unless theyve been stored next to heat for aloooong time.Or maybe it just dident get documented! There was alot of shit being missed in the early years as far as organization. I mean parts being used from earlir production due to left overs and things of that nature! Id just forget about it and say dam Im lucky I got a locking L handle with matching keys :D

Maybe, just maybe, M035 is option "New Rückwand, an der Armatur der späteren Auspuffanlage mit zwei Endrohren, die in fünf Jahren verfügbar sein wird ist erlaubt".

Sorry, I just couldn't resist this one.

No disrespect, but so much has been changed on the car, what makes you think the lock has not been added/changed.
The rear apron??
The seats????
The headliner????
The door trims????

If there was no way to buy any VW parts there, what did the first owner do when he needed a new distributor cap? or any other VW part?

...later parts...why is so complicated to undersand? maybe is better we forget this and we all can follow all the same way and everything is fine.

They changed to later parts, i repeat later parts, the split 52 which is in the garage was changed the engine! thanks god the guy was keeping the original engine in the garage, guess? maybe because he couldnt find substitution parts, the few parts he could find maybe was used, besides if u think like most of the people in the past they wanted always modern parts, he was making swap between a later engine and the split original engine, so what is the big deal on that?

Lets follow all the same trail.

I keep asking M-code 094 on Birth Certificate 11C sedan.

regards

The 2 original keys...1 from the L handle and the other from the dashpod switch, despited he was changing was keeping the key with him...

Yes could be possible, i agree with u, maybe it passed or couldnt be seen in the micro fish.

I read in several posts the M-codes where changing the year for example: for the same discrition the M-code for an oval could be different to the split one...

But despite all the opinions very interesting and with full of acknowledgement, i would like to see a Birth Certificate 11C with M-code 094.

regards
