what size battery is used? I've called all my local auto parts stores and they are unable to help me without seeing the old battery. I have not received (still in route) my 63 Single Cab yet that I have purchased from here. I know I need a new battery. Just trying to get things going on the right foot. Thanks in advance for your help.

| I called an automotive battery shop last week and the guy I spoke to suggested an 8 volt battery for about $50. I thought he was joking as I had never heard of an 8 volt battery, but several friends have told me they work very well. Not enough volts to fry your 6 volt bulbs, wiper motor, or starter, but enough additional volts to provide better starting. I'll probably go pick one up in the next couple of weeks. |
