I am trying to get my spare behind the bench. It appears that there is a flat bar indide the tube that I assume should turn upwards to raise the seat and free it from the clasp at each end of the rail. Is this right? Because I cant move that bar try as I may. Am I doing something wrong?

What year is your bus? Is it one solid bench or does it have a separate drivers seat?

You have to rotate the entire seat back upward if you want to remove it from the clasp at either end.

The seat back may be stuck on the seat bottom but it will pull free.

The procedure above refers to a bench seat model.
