i need everyones input on this matter.i bought this 61 van that has had the rear clip cut out of and it has been replaced with a clip from newer type clip irs
style from a newer van. this was installed badly. should i run for cover away from this van or is it worth fixing. the body etc is fairly good.as much feedback on this matter would be great thanks

If they did stuff like that you can see, what did they do that you don't see? If they didn't hack things up you could most likely get back to stock without too much trouble. I would inspect pretty close. Good luck.
Ps. people are probably not responding because they don't know what a "van" is. ha ha.

"Worth Fixing" is what you need to figure out.
What do you want the bus for?
Daily driver?
Fix and Resale (Flipping)?
Collection and eventual resale with minimal loss of capital?

How much will you have to pay for the bus?

In addition, are you planning to do the work yourself? If not, do you have the expertise to evaluate what repairs may be necessary?

All these need to be taken into account.
Just add up the costs necessary to restore the vehicle to the condition you desire, add the price you have to pay for the bus, and see if that price exceeds the price of a bus already in the condition you wish to have.

If so, skip this bus, and buy the other one.
If not, go for it!
