Awesome article attached at aircooled.net. I learned some things. Good explanations of reasons for each step too.

well, i am supposed to call at noon wed. but if i can't get it thurs, i may have to wait til next week because of weekend commitments and work. hopefully, i will be peddling leftover parts at englishtown. i may try to go to the vw toy & literature show in somerset the day before englishtown. it is about 5 minutes from my girfreinds house. i have a b-day party down here at the shore the same day though. we'll see. unless it pours, i will be at englishtown!!!

You will have to retorque the heads very quickly too.

I hope they put inserts on your head studs. Try to find out before you re-torque the heads.
You don't want to pull one out when you re-torque.
