Two questions:

1. I have an early middle full seat with the 'hard grab bars' and it's not correct for my 63 deluxe. If I found the extruded plastic bars from a 1963-1967, would they fit into the same holes on my seat, aside from screwing the plate in the middle of the 2/3 seat?

2. Has anybody reproduced this bar?

the grab bar you are looking for is 1962-3 only. It has the same extrusion as a dash grab handle and it also has chrome ends. Also a unique center piece.

Basically looks like a big grab handle (straight on top-across).

The 1964-67 has plastic ends, thicker unique extrusion for that grab handle, has a plastic center piece and it's arched.

If you were to take the metal bar off, you could replace it with a 1962-3.

If you could talk to WW and try getting 6'-8'length extrusion of their grab handle, you could replace the extrusion out of a beat grab handle....

I have some NOS grab handles that had small holes in the extrusion-rubber bugs...

I ended taking the extrusion off and using them to repair dash grab handles. The chrome ends are perfect. I believe I have enough to do a full lenght middle seat.
