this is fertile material. the bus is the wrong color, the white walls look like someone is wearing their jockstrap on the outside of their leather pants. they got the picture from "sports car market". hippie of leisure? impotence of the aircooled engine? and any time i hear NEW MICROBUS, it raises my ire.

vedubs were very realizable when brand new; it's just after 40 odd years that they got a rep for being unreliable, mostly due to people not maintaining them. This dude knows nothing

yeah, that really burns me too. People say VWs are not reliable, but they are. I think that the reason they have gotten a bad rap is because they are simple well engineered cars and idiots think they can work on them. These idiots do more damage than good and then they sell their "handiwork" to an unsuspecting victim. The victim has nothing but negative things to say about VWs "bad engineering and horrible reliability".

MUCH more reliable than cars made at the same time by Detroit. What is happening is that the aircooled VW's have been around so long, they are compared to other "old" cars that are twenty years younger.

Funny he had so many nice things to say about the 356 and negative about a VW of the same era. Someone should tell this fool who designed the suspension for our splitties.

I took my 5 year old (in my 74 super when she was 3) to the showroom to look at the new beetle (an ugly as she calls it) and all the did was spit on it and said to the sales person that it is not a bug. I have a 67 kombi and 2 more girls now and when that bus is in the showroom you know where we will be.
