| Can anyone tell me what to use, or where I can get a suitable piano hinge to secure my pop-out windows. I removed the broken louvered windows from my 66 Westy and have pop-out windows, seals and hinges to replace them with, but no hinges. I have a spare door with a hinge but it has over 15 spot welds holding it on. Do I try and salvage or do new hinges exist? |

| you have to drill out all the spot welds. don't bother if the hinge is rusted out or cracked. find someone who's parting out a bus and sawzall off a few posts that have a hinge. then do it on the bench. go slow, and you also will need a sharp, thin chisel to help seperate the hinge after the welds are drilled. position it with a couple of screws and have someone spot it on for you. |
