Try rubbing aluminum foil with a little water on it, it will create a greyish paste after a bit and usually will knock down the corrosion if it's not too bad. |

open front hood. remove wiring cover. look at rear of gauge for a knurled nut hold a brige piece. unscrew the nut. at top of tank is a round cover over sender. pry edge up with flat screw driver. with cover off yo take the cable from gauge to sender and pivet it upwards to free ball on end of wire. now pull gauge towards front seat. done.
did you tear the rubber boots holding clips for chrome on dash?? i cannot find new ones so i hope you did not mess them up.
Thanks. I didnt tear them at all lucky. on did pop off but i just put it back in |

Random things
Dirty before picture
Polished all up and in the rear seat. Its holding my hubs and random things i never took out of the car and just threw in the back seat. The red thing is a chair that folds out. Pretty cool vintage items imo.

What he said. I had a '67 a while back, that needed a bit of work but was pretty solid and also originally Savanna Beige. I've kicked myself on an almost daily basis for not keeping it.
Keep up the progress with yours! |

on assembly line inspectors / quality control would check areas of body when it was being built. they would write their number of initals to show inspection was done. can also be found under front hood,in doors,on tunnel and etc. |

| Looks really good James..You should hit up some swap meets or the classifieds and find yourself an original 67 rear bumper without the black rubber grommets between the over riders and bumper blade. |

How should i clean all the rust off? Sanding obviously. But what grit. Thanks[/quote]
That fender is not German. You can tell by the position of the horn grill. I'd suggest saving your time cleaning and look for an OG unit. Just my two cents. Great looking '67. |

Earlier in the thread i got new fenders. Thanks though. I realized that and i couldnt stand the horn grills in different spots. Got rust free ones. Not og. But im not going for a stock look anyway. Just a nice daily driver |

I would. But again, it all depends on what you're going for. Once you start going back to 100%, it becomes hard to slow down. Before you know it, you'll want everything perfect. It's expensive and fun. |
