1: adjust springplates, there will be extra wear on the parts in the back.
2: Straight axle kit, most popular lowering method at the moment. Uses a type 1 or 3 tranny, eliminates reduction boxes. 3,5 inch drop.
3: IRS conversion, uses a SuperBeetle tranny with the IRS suspension, drop till the ground if you want. More difficult to install than the straight axle kit, and some extra maintenance cause of CV's, but better ride.

Peace.

Or buy a roofrack and an elephant, place the roofrack on top of the bus, then the elephant on the roofrack. Don't forget to feed the elephant, and watch out when getting to tunnels, cause the elephant sticks out ! ;-)
