VW Trends website had an article on doing a bug beam in their tech section about 6 mos ago but it appears to have been removed since then. But I printed it so I can fax it to you or something. Let me know.

But I don't know how bus beams are different from busses, other than the swing arm. You might get some advice from Jeff Vidal (Rizzag) on this.

narrowing bug beams and bus beams are very different. because the bus has fixed mounting points on the inside of the shock towers so any width you want gone needs to be taken out of the outside area. to do a 4 inch beam a whole new shock tower needs to be made out of plate steel. they are alot of work. but look real good when your done.

I NARROW BEAMS AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE BUG AND THE BUS HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON WHEN NARROWING. AS USUAL JEFF IS RIGHT. THE BUS HAS TO MAINTAIN A CERTAIN WIDTH IN ORDER TO STILL BOLT INTO THE BUS. THIS IS NOT DONE WHEN YOU INSTALL ADJUSTERS, BUT IS AN ENTIRELY SEPERATE DEAL. YOU HAVE TO CUT ALL OF THE EXISTING TOWER MATERIAL AWAY AND FAB PLATE STEEL REPLACEMENTS. THEN CUT DOWN THE OUTER TUBES AND RE FIT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER.
