thinking of getting a pair of front 944 brakes to put on my ball joint Bug. will use brackets to mount on the spindles. so i can bolt my fuchs on direct.
which model i should be looking for?
either this or i will just fit stock front discs, rotors redrilled and put in studs for 5 x 130 of course...
whichever comes first |

These are on my list of upgrades when I hit the lotto:
1. Here's a guy who put some 4 piston brakes from a 944 turbo on his ball joint ghia. Elsewhere on his site he says it increases the width about 15mm.

2. Also came across a real good video of fitting 944 rear disks to the Bug's IRS rear. Apparently the 944 and the IRS bug rear trailing arm share the same trailing arm assemblies. I also heard that the later 944 arms were aluminum instead of steel. Adds about 7/8" width per side.

3. And if you want to take it one step further, you can even bolt in a 944 master cylinder. That gives you a larger master cylinder too.
