Does anyone know what to do about replacing the emergency flasher relay on a 64 model. Looking at the schematics, it controls the right flasher and will turn on all four flashers. Mine is acting goofy and apparently they cannot be found. It looks like it the original 6 volt version. The bus was converted to 12v a while back. The relay has five prongs on it. I would guess that some two relay setup could mimick this but I'd like to here from someone who has solved this one already.

Recheck the wiring diag (color ones can be found at vintagebus.com) Thats what I had a problem with in my '65. After I rechecked my flasher my problem was solved.
Try type2.com as well, Matt Roberds has a lot of very helpful info. Get on the email mailling list too at type2.com, there are plenty of people who can help. |
