I recently picked up a pair of 8 inch deep dish smoothies (OG offset) for the back of my 67 Bug. My plan is to convert to short axles, notch / extend spring plates, drop it 3 outer splines, and stretch a pair of 195/50/15 tires on them.

This works beautifully in my mind lol, but just wondering if anyone has experience/ advise on a similar set up to share before i invest too much time.

any input is appreciated

heres a couple pics of the rims
