New to the area and have seen many vans around.

Wondering if any of you van folks want to have a ride or meet up come spring. Talk about travels, vans, projects etc.

Looking for interest and gathering people who are interested.

im in, and i think i can drag up another..
days are better for me.
i might consider hosting something, im 30 mins from burl and 30 from the border. ive got a 2 keg setup and couple grills..

maybe a beer b que?

my cabin fever is set in pretty good, so ide be interested in some food a brew..

Spring is already here in Central New York!

Great to hear that others are interested in this also!!
I was going to start gathering names for a dust of come spring.
I think that a beer bque sounds fun. I was thinking a more local meeting but for a day trip that would be really fun.
I posted on CL and Vortex to look for interest. I'll try to post the links in here if anyone responds on the other.

I only am saying spring because I have stored my van over a slab of concrete for the winter. Trying to work on a few projects in the interim.

I will post on here as it gets closer. if anyone wants to meet before then feel free to use this post to communicate.
I will also be collecting emails to add to a list for when the spring dust off.

I would be happy to try to make links with the westies associations of Québec and Montréal. It's not that far and we are a lot of westies, mostly vanagons, around Montréal and so.

That sounds like it would be fun and I definitely think that would be fun at some point. For now I was thinking of a local meet up in the Burlington are for the dust off. Then maybe a monthly meet up during the week. If people are interested in things like a BBQ or trips to Canada I also think that would be alot of fun! I know at some point I will be meeting up with LIMBO Bus Club in their VT trip during the summers (think its in July).

Would love to see some Westies from Quebecin that gathering. They are known for massive gatherings, holding the world record of number of Westfalias in one event (400+?).

Hello All!
Spring is in the air and the warm days are still just a tease.
ALthough it is going to be very rainy, I am hoping that

Saturday May, 12th
will not be.

I have seen a few Eurovans and Vanagon's driving around and I am getting eager to get mine out! I have been grinding at the rust and sealing the underside of my van in preparation for a Waxoyl coating in the coming weeks.

I am thinking a meet up and a few mile ride through town would be nice.
I do not have a set meeting place yet but think a nice stroll to Oakledge Park through town would be fun. There are a few BBQ's and some pavilions in case the weather is not cooperating. I will try and check to make sure there is still no charge to park.

I will try and post a meeting place soon (any suggestions?) and a time close to noon to be there, along with a time we are leaving. We'll drive a few miles to the park, hangout and maybe BBQ.

If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.
Should we welcome other VW's? I have heard of a possible car club in the area as well and I could try to find them and extend the invite.
Anyone know any other vans in the area or clubs north or south, please extend the invite as well.

Looking forward to it!
