:( too soon for me but I'll send my email to you and if you do later in May or mid late June (Bus Fusion June 7, 8, 9th AND it's a biggie in Ontario just across the river from Quebec). I'd like to get to Buses By Beach in Michigan.

Vt not all that far for me but I'd want to be able to get there a day or 2 early. If I can't make it, have a blast and perhaps I'll catch some of you in the next few mths.

Just filled my calendar in. I'll be in NE area May 18 thru June 15 (West River Westies June 13, 14, 15th.) Looking for any fields, old laneways, whatever to stealth and stop in. A few more weeks free for travelling in Gaspe, Montreal etc....

So.sat may 12 is the date?

bmmtraker Tue May 01, 2012 1:58 pm

Yes that is the date! I am thinking of a meeting place near St. Michaels. I am going to scope out a few spots this week.

Hopefully everyone can make it!

All,
The plan is to meet up in the back of the Lowes parking lot in Essex Junction on Susie Wilson Rd. at 10 a.m. this Saturday. After we gather for a little, we will be leaving a little after 10:30 to drive through town to Oakledge Park. Once we get there hopefully we can find a good string of parking spots and hangout, talk about vans and fire up a BBQ for lunch. Bring some food and drinks. Please spread the word to anyone else who you think would be interested in meeting up. I am excited to meet everyone!

Thanks for your interest,
Brad

I'd love a reason to go to Vermont for the weekend BUT I have
a surgery scheduled for next week. I'll be down for about
4-6 weeks so need to spend this weekend wrapping up odd stuff
around the house. On the flip side I'll have a few months
off from work while healing and that means I can make
a few campouts I normally wouldnt be able to get the time
off for. Scary part is the wife will be driving and she loves
to tach the shit out of the Westy. Lead foot she is! Have fun
guys wish I could be there.

Hopefully Bill you"ll be all memded up by the time West River Westies is upon us! BTW has anyone
actually made any reservations yet? I"m thinking of landing there on Thursday.

And get well soon!! Beer tastes better in the seated position!

I'm hoping to head to WRW and I too want to arrive on Thursday or maybe even Wednesday.

danfromsyr Tue May 08, 2012 8:28 pm

the Syracuse trio is taking a week leading up to WRW by heading thru Vermont and New Hampshire into Maine then back across to land at West River Westies.. (we'll be arriving on friday)

but if anyone is interested in the route..
July 3rd-4th Button Bay State park in Vermont.
July 5th-6th Moose Brook State Park Gorham, New Hampshire
July 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th Lamoine State Park (acadian region Maine)
July 11th Camden Hills State park Maine
July 12th Whit's end campground in Ossipee, NH
July 13, 14 West River Westies.

soo look for the NY plates.. and we'll look for vanagons in Vermont, new hampshire and Maine. but we won't be stationary for long, these are traveling VWs... and there's some miles of roadway to gobble up.

Anyone have any advice on what/where to see in Western VT on the 4th of july?

Dan from Syracuse

Hopefully I'll see you all at WRW this year. I've been the past two years but not to sure who i'm talking to on here an who I met there. I had the white Eurovan with the old emblem on the front hood and the large VW symbol on the inside ceiling.

Sorry to those who cannot make it but it looks like we're going to have a fantastic day on Saturday! Partly Cloudy and 74 degrees!
Seems that we'll have a decent turn out. Anyone who knows those vans north of the boarder, please feel free to open up the invite!

I'm going to PM a reminder to those who said they were interested or in.

See you then!

Although only two other vans showed up... I was so excited to meet you guys! Both great vans with some nice customizations! Hopefully we can do something again soon and hopefully more people can make it out. Here is the beginning of a great thing...

I would be in this year.

Enough notice, and I can coordinate a business visit on Friday in order to expense the travel costs  , and stay a couple days extra to drop a fly line into Lewis Creek.
=D>

There is a really cool artisanal pizza shed that only does pies on Fridays from 4:30 to 7. Some switchback ale (now that they are bottling it) and its a good intro to the weekend.

DAIZEE Mon Feb 18, 2013 3:18 pm
