Was wondering if anyone has ever done a removable apron for a Karmann Ghia. I want to do this to my '63 and don't want to cut it and find out I did it wrong. Links? Suggestions?

X2 I did this mod on my own Ghia about 5-6 years ago after seeing his pictures. Also the gas hood struts.

reviving an old thread (sorry) but can anyone help point out on how to begin this process? I can do the rest, just don't know where to start.

Found this using the search by the way.

Pics from my Gallery as done on a 1957 Ghia. They're all very similar.

FYI - I have a lot of pictures in my Gallery related to the effective means of removing various sheet metal panels.

I made mine a little different. I kept the bottom fixed so there is no distortion and made the top removable.
