1:43 scale made by "CKO" in the late 60's or early 70's ( ?), this is the Polizei version. It is tinplate with rear friction drive. Yours is missing the blue plastic siren part on top of the roof, and it originally had a box. This is a fairly common version.
CKO also made type 2 ( bus, ambulance, pick-up), type 3 ( squareback and notchback), passat wagon, and 911 toys in the same series which I have seen.
There are now good quality reproductions made from the same moulds in the Czech Republic by a company called " Kovap". They have a website at www.kovap.cz Unusually, these toys still have the CKO logo aswell as the Kovap marking on the baseplate.
