Feeling a little nostalgic...
I was wondering if anyone has any accessories from the old Vic Williams Volkswagen dealership in Peoria, Illinois? It used to be located on North Adams street where the current Warren Danz law offices are. My dad bought a couple VW's from there when I was very young, and I'd love to find some old plate frames or dealer badges to put on my single cab from there - but I don't even know if these ever existed for that particular dealership.
Does anyone have any memorabilia from this dealership? I'd love to see it if you do. I don't even know the years the dealership was in existence, but I do know it eventually became "Midtown VW-Audi" in the mid-to late 70's and moved to north Pekin where the current Toyota dealership used car building is.
There used to be a very old local guy that had a sweet early 70's Ghia convertible that he had bought new from this dealership, and it had the dealer badge still on it. But it's been a while since I've seen him or the car, and I'm afraid he may have passed. |
