The Seventh Annual Niello Volkswagen Ranch Run April 13 – 15, 2012

Friday, April 13th:

The Niello Volkswagen Ranch Run kicks off with a Rally & Cruise hosted by Sac Water. The Rally begins at Niello Volkswagen (Arden at Fulton in Sacramento), at 6:00 p.m. and will end at Roseville's Sonic Burger & Drive-In. Rally participants can expect a competitive, fun and safe cruise around Sacramento in their beloved VW. And for those not participating in the Rally, they can meet up for the Cruise-in at Sonic Burger, which will start around 6:30 pm with music, great food, and an awesome display of VWs.

Saturday, April 14th:

Come enjoy coffee and donuts at Bugformance (1620 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento) from 8 am – 10 am. You'll be able to tour the shop, enjoy some delicious morning treats and enjoy special pricing for Ranch Run participants.

The day will continue with an Open House from 10 am – 4 pm at Universal Technical Institute, UTI (4100 Duckhorn Drive, Sacramento). Guests will enjoy lunch, campus tours, live music and more. They will also be doing $20 dyno runs for cars that pass Tech and the money is donated to Ride to Walk.

The action moves from UTI to Tuna’s Buggy Works (1125 Circuit Drive, Roseville) for dinner and continued fun, from 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm.

There will be a Saturday evening Ranch Run Round Up at the Boxing Donkey Bar & Grill 300 Lincoln Street Roseville with incredible food & drink specials from 7:00 pm on into the night.

Sunday, April 15th – The Main Event:

Meet at Niello VW the dealer will open at 6am and the CHP escort will leave at 8am to head to the Ride to Walk Ranch. While at the Ranch, you’ll enjoy the park like setting, incredible raffles, 50/50, four live bands, great food, an impressive showcase of water and air-cooled VWS, catch and release fishing, kids activities, valve cover racing and more!

Cost:

All access pass $30.00

Friday night only $10.00

Saturday Activities $10.00

Sunday Only $20.00

Sunday Spectator $5.00

I love this event and am always excited to participate.

For those that are coming from out of town, I am 4 miles from the show. I have no issue opening my house to anyone that may need a place to crash for a night. I also have two open spots in the garage that are available.

I will be there again this year. Besides being a cool VW show to go to, it is centered around a fantastic cause.

Just a couple updates!!!

Last weeks bake sale made just over $900.00 thanks to all that came out.

New this year a large "Ranch Run Kid's Corral" with lots of fun things for kids to keep busy ( Bean bag toss, Obstacle course, Relay races, Arts and Crafts and Karaoke)

Spent a beautiful 75 degree day getting ready for the upcoming show. The grounds look great and the preperations for the show are coming along well. Last year the swap started to grow and hopefully this year it will be even bigger. Last years show had several unique air and water cooled cars in attendance and hopefully this year will be even more impressive.

You are so right Ryan. Having the CHP shut down the streets and freeway so that 300+ VWs can cruise to the ranch, without interruption is awesome.

OK lots of questions of when Registration will close.

Its will close at the first 400 or April 6th..

The CHP is locked down, the Bands locked down and many new Sponsors for this year as well.

Bring your kids there is a hole group that is putting a kids area together and it will be a blast for them.

I've gone to almost every Niello Ranch Run, last year was the first time I drove my watercooled '96 Jetta as my Ghia was getting body/paint done by Skinner Classics VW Restorations at that time.
