I thought they had finally gotten it right with Balance. I was definitley in the Van Hagar camp.

Van Halen, not Van Hagar.

I heard that "Tattoo" was an old practice song from the early days that never made it to an album...

Well, the album cover certainly looks like a Commodore's rip off.

His head has been solid resin for a long time.

It does sound like old VH stuff so I wouldn't be shocked if it was true. what ever I like it.

I agree with Sammy Hagar. This album stinks.

 Not many people who have been fired will speak kindly of their former employer. That said, he's right.

I bought tickets to see them in Dallas. Heres hoping its not all the new album. I gave it a listen. Its okay. Better than just Tattoo on its own.

They should re-name the tour: "Last chance for cash".

The folks that got in to VH when that happened (or even with Sammy for that matter) are the same ones that think Metallica's best album is ...and just-ass for all.

He was fired than re-hired for the 2004 reunion. Than Sammy walked away. Because Eddie was always too drunk to play.
Joe Satriani is ten times the player Eddie is.Listen to the two live and you will see who plays cleaner. And without Michael Anthony on bass and backing vocals, it's not the same.

I've now listened to the CD a number of times and tattoo has grown on me and there's not a bad song on there, although I would agree tattoo is not the best song by a long way.
So what interest me is why put it out as their first song??? surly they would know it 's not the best one on the album??

crofty Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:46 am

The best songs are usually 3 and 7 on an album...

I've got an attic full of old LP's maybe I should think about ebaying them?

Keep 'em, unless you don't have a player anymore. I lost a 9000 piece record collection in 1987 to a house fire. Took me years to begin collecting CD's as the quality is so different.

In an attempt to clear up any misconceptions over my original post I offer this wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony ;)
