Ugh, I have been running the WRC 215/65/16's on my stock syncro. I was about to switch to some BFG 215/70/16 for better offroad traction. Now I can't decide. Probably a set of each for winter and summer would be ideal.

I think the Nokians are better than the bfg's for my usages

Starting the search for the right 16" tires.

I'm clear on what the requirements would be for load rating. My big question is what size(s) of tire should i be considering that won't rub?

That really depends on the wheel width and offset as well as your ride height and if you have any brake modifications.

I am posterchild for this rubbing.

I am at 225/65/16 Nokians on 16" Mercedes E430 wheels with Smallcar front brake upgrade. Evidently the upgrade changes the ET.

I would also say without much of anything, and as it stands the GW spring kit lifts the van, but does not handle the weight, and the spring loses clearance and I chop tires.

I did roll my fenders, and that chopping has not been seen further, however I've been pretty gingerly on the driving.. especially uneven road, or embankments/steep drives which was the primary issue.

I would say springs, and your Weight is going to be a big deal, how you tend to load the vehicle is going to also determine if your springs KEEP your van height, or let it come slammin down when you hit a driveway.. or a deep pothole when out and about..

Good point. I'm going with the GW 16"x7.5" alloys.

I have the gowesty 16x7 steel wheels, the nokian WRC 215/65/16, OME shocks and I do not get any rubbing. I have been doing a ton of camping and driving off road and I am stoked on these tires.
