Does anyone know of a place that reproduces the door hinge mounting plates? I have some long ago drilled out screws that I ill never be able to free up so I was thinking that my best shot would be to replace the plates.

Donor car. bottom one can be a prick to get out with quarter panel on!!!

you may want to try and do the weld a nut on and spin out trick leaving plate in there?

I know several repair panels come with them on

Maybe try contacting hookeys panels or autocraft etc and asking to buy just the plate. Its all hand made with them so they will be able to help.

I'm pretty sure the top and the bottom plates are the same

From what I remember by working on a 50 standard, top left and bottom right are the same. Also, top right and bottom left are the same. Just make them!

Just took a look at my 50 with no 1/4 panels and thats spot on. They would be an easy make but if you havn't got a tap and die set and need to buy some thick metal it may still be cheaper to buy them.

If you plan on changing the plates, you then plan on removing them. Once you remove them, getting the rusted screw's stump out is EASY.
Weld onto the screw to build up something to grab. You'll have to weld, then let it cool, weld, cool, etc. After welding enough, it will break the rust bond and the screw will come out.
