Hey there. I am looking to restore my horn button because it has cracks in it. What do i do when restoring? I am not looking to buy a new horn. Thanks

It'd be way too much to try and repair it, as the clear plastic is cracked though, you'd have to pretty much make it from scratch, just spend the $15 or so bucks for a brand new one that has no cracks and will have a long life, it's just the cap on the steering wheel, not a whole horn assembly.
Here's where to buy, but I bet local shop will have one for about the same price:

i have mucked around with horn buttons a little.

you can sand out the black paint and repaint them easily.

sand with wet 1200 - 2000 wet and dry paper to refinish the outer surface if needed then polish with autosol metal polish.

i have tried to repair cracks in plastic lenses (never got around to trying on horn buttons) with various types of styrene modelling glues but have never found one that will wick into the bottom of the cracks, they may seal some of the cracks at the surface but still leave the shiny crack deeper in the plastic.

not saying it cannot be done but if it can it probably won't be a simple process.

i haven't tried heating the glue a little to see if it will thin out more, but it might help a little.
be warned if you try, at least some of the glues can have long term health effects if inhaled.

don't bother with the syrupy glues, go straight to the thinner ones like testors in the square bottle or MEK (which is toxic)

btw i recommend if you are planning to try this you get a spare or two to practice on.
