Im writing a research paper on the history of the beetle and I was wondering if anyone knew some good sites i should check out.

Google "History of the Beetle" and you get a whole bunch of hits. Those hits' sources will also give you a lot of books to look at. I learned 99% of what I know about the history of the beetle from reading the books that have been written about them. Just remember to look at a variety of sources, not just one or two, so you can overcome any biased sources that are trying to slant the story in a particular way.

thanks ive got every book i could find at the library and im pretty much done with them.

and i think they might frown on using a forum... they might not find it as a reputable source...

I agree with that. This site gives you a lot of ideas that you can then pursue and confirm independently, but it doesn't take responsibility for the things that people post, so you couldn't cite it as a source.

i posted this topic in hopes of finding history sites, and you guys give me great answers in a matter if minutes. this place is great, i will read up on the vw38 topic does anyone know where it is?
