This is a general inquiry to see if I can find out what happened to this car. My boyfriend bought and sold it in the early 90's near Erie, PA. I should have bought it, but hindsight is always 20/20. I know very little about this car other than the following:
- gas tank behind the back seat
- all fiberglass body
- had a vinyl snap cover with clear rear window for driving in inclement weather
... and that's all I know. I am asking merely out of curiosity, although it really would be fun to drive again. If anyone has any comments, suggestions or leads, you can reply here or email me at

Hi DantesDame,
Not sure if this will help or not, but there are at least 2 VW-related car shows scheduled in PA during the months of April and May 2012. There also may be others scheduled through the rest of the year. It could be that the Bug's current owner may decide to take it to one of these events:
