hey guys my trike front end is a 1982 kawasaki kz650 i think lol,anyway i want to get a stand alone speedo for it instead of using the stock setup that was on it,my problem is i want to order one off ebay or where ever but i wanting to know since the cable will fit on my front tire like its suppose to,how do i know what speedo to get so the other end of the cable will fit into it? or do u have other ideas for running a stand alone speedometer? thnx in advance bb

If you have an IRS, you can mount a chopper wheel on the CV and run an electronic speedometer

IRS is independent rear suspension. It replaced the swingaxle rear suspension in 1969. If your transaxle is 1969 or later its IRS.

ok then yes i have IRS :D ....i found a cable for the frt end yesterday now im just going to look for a stand alone on ebay and hope it fits thnx guys

I think this would actually be easier than a chopper wheel and probably just as cheap and accurate
