| I might be getting a Dove Blue Kombi split-window soon, and I need a name for it, I'm at a loss. I want something German, and maybe some kind of alliteration, like Karl Kombi or Bob Bus. Any ideas? |

You make a good point, but we still named our cats. I guess sometimes it's useful to give a name to something if you want to yell at it futilely.
Gerhardt might be a good German name if you find it has transmission problems. |

I believe it will name itself eventually. Something will trigger some inspiration.
Spot - oil leakage
Rusty - no description needed
Matilda - Referencing steering strategies (As in Waltzing Matilda)
$#!T*@! - Maintenance issues
Paloma - Spanish for Dove
Blitz - I tend to see a red Karmann Ghia for this one though |

On the German theme, if it's really got problems, then I'd call it "far from movin'" |

| Nah, naming it is for hippies... Give it a title! I never name my VWs cuz that;s just silly. I refer to them as "the Kombi" or " the 60 Panel" or my "yellow Bug". Never name them, that's not right. |

^^^ The best answer so far. Maybe find out what the orginal owner called it? Or let your 3 year old niece name it- kids always have the cutest interpretations... |
