I reciently bought a 66 bug... It was rebuilt but the guy I bought it from painted it and the paint job is WACK! I'm looking for a good shop that isn't too expensive to have it painted. Im in the Seattle area... And was wondering on your thoughts on color?? right now it is a baby blueish... I was thinking of going a burnt Orange color... ?? Any thoughts??

Clementine Orange is a good looking VW orange. It you only have $1000 then you just about have to let MAACO paint it, but that's okay if that is all you can afford. Other Paint Shops will want $2000++

you can go to maaco and have it painted for under 1,000 like mike said, but to do a true color change from blue to orange its going to run you a minimum of 5,000 to have it done right

I am a tech that also puts in estimates at a body shop. Try going to a body shop and asking if you bring in all the part off the cars if the price would be cheaper. Any smart body shop will try to get you to bring it in. So do it let them see it, they will show you were it needs to be fixed and how much it will coast.
You then can go get other prices. find out how much other places are going to charge.
Some Questions to ask when you do this at all the shops.
Warranty- We offer a life time as long as you own the car. Maco is -as long as your caris in the shop. lol
Price Matching-Do they price match other shops that are compare in quality.
To see some of the work they are doing.Any good shop will show you around and let you see the work being done. But you need to look at the quality when you do let you back there. This is a way to see if they are a hack or a good shop to bring your prodject to.
