The advantage of this trip over your last Northern adventure is the lighter load of winter clothing and bear spray you need to take!
One down side is that you will have to use more of our funny green money on this trip. No Loonies or Twoonies south of the 49th.
I'm guessing 2013(14?) will have you and France staging your own Cannonball Run, racing each other across North America to see who can do it the fastest and take in the most states. |

You both continue to inspire me. With any luck (and of course a LOT of hard work) I MIGHT have my buggy finished enough to race up to meet you. Its my new goal!!!!
I'm officially interested in running for president of the "Vincent and France Fan Club" |

That's awesome. Some of us should come and visit you in Riverside. Or, if you have time, come up to Idyllwild and run some dirt roads. I'm buying lunch!
Edit- What jobs do you have that you can take that much time off? Sounds like a darn good one. |

Vincent, I'd suggest a little mod to your route through Texas by going on the south side of Austin to Fredericksburg, then up toward Brownwood.
Fredericksburg is in the heart of the Texas Hill and wine country (and local brews) and is 10 miles from Luckenbach (yes there is a Luckenbach and from time to time Waylon, Willie & the Boys are actually there.)
also, your route on the east side of Austin should take you by the almost complete F1 track (race is in Nov)
One other bit. Texas in July is HOT (we had the #2 record for # of days over 100 last year) so bring lots of water and sunscreen. Maybe some of the Texas buggies can figure out a way to run with you for a bit.
PM or email if you'd like some more specific route ideas. |

We've booked most of our hotels and looking forward for another exciting adventure. |

| I am not sure how far west of Houston you are going(HWY71 maybe?) But there is a Shiner Beer Brewery just off I-10 near Shulenberg. I know you are a Beer conisuir(sp). They have daily tours that are pretty interesting 8) |

Looks like this year's Gumball 3000 is trying to 1 up us on our trip...
They claim: New York to Los Angeles in 8 days! We're still good with Montreal to Riverside in 7 days?! Right?! Oh and we're driving back, they're not... |

You should stop in Lafayette, La instead of Baton Rouge. It's only 60 miles further, the food and music is much better, and some of us still speak French.
Allons a Lafayette! |
