A simple sink in my garage!! Hot and Cold running water..... so very very nice!! It took me years to plumb this in, looking back on it, I should have done it a very very long time ago!!!
BTW, the wife is much happier without my greasy hands in the kitchen sink!!

I fear I'm getting spoiled! Hot and cold running water, Heat and Air Conditioning in my garage!!!

Give it a week or two.

You better be careful Dave! If it gets too nice in the garage you may never go home again!

I like hooking up the hose to the hot water! Makes chilly carwashes a thing of the past

I have a detached garage, so I don't think running water is an option. At least not without city permits to connect to the sewer.

I have heat (kerosine forced air "jet engine" heater with thermostat) and plan on installing a window A/C unit, and I keep the boat's Porta-Potty in the corner so that I still have a pot to piss in.

HA!!
It's been many weeks now! Possibly the best addition to the garage besides the door into the house!

And.......

It's still clean! (note: no pre-photo cleaning took place) I just swish around the water at wash up rinsing off the surface grime.

I've noticed that my hands would have "perma dirt" that was embedded deep into my skin wnen I did a lot of mechanical work. With the sink I'm able to wash up more frequently and the "perma dirt" situation does not occur any longer. :)

Also could come in handy for a quick eyewash!

Yeah, I at times have a helper do a project, they aren't always the brightest crayon in the box so I point out the obvious sometimes.

The high spout is a wonderful thing! I put a hose adapter on it, my dog now gets a warm bath instead of a well water temperature bath!

I had a similar issue here with my garage. Just more work then I wanted to do to run a water and sewer line.

So I set up a water barel just outside the garage with a spigot on it. I catch rain water off half the roof in the 55 gallon (plastic) barrel.

It's great for washing your hands at least. And every year or so when we clean out the fish pond I use that water to refill the pond enough to put the fish back in while the city water is airing out in buckets.

We have also used it to water the tomatoes and wash cars during drought summers.

I use Micro-Flex Diamond Grip latex gloves for dirty jobs. Tough and reusable... if you're careful, lol.

I gess I need to figure out how to past a pic on hear one of these days. my shop has central ac&heat, kitchen, bathroom, fridge, mickrowave, dishwasher for cleaning parts, porting bench with high power blower & 5 filters to suck all the nasty dust away from my nose& also from the blast cabnet when I open it and the dustyfumes trail out(yes it too has a sucker but nowhere neer what this sucker is) and a whole host of shit related to racing, machining, building, checking.just wish it was a bit biger.it,s only 24x34, with bathroom,engineroom,porting/valve job/blast cabnet room,&the main 2 bay aers with the mills&lathe, mig, pile of machining fixtures &tool boxes. and yes a nice doubble stainless steel sink too.benches every wall, shelvs all around top, fully sheey rocked&painted like a home should be(as it is my racecars home) and extreamly well light.and good tunes throught
a sink is easy to install & run a hose or under ground pvc to it.
I was at a freinds house worken on his car last weekend and was suprized when he had a 20x20 shop but no water, sink or pisser. how can you go with out them?? for me less distractions, clean hands, place to go = less places for effups to creep into your work.

great addition to the shop space! Yes indeed, having a sink out there will really make things easier on everyone (wife). Nobody likes a greasy mess in the kitchen sink!
