One page, and your truck looks sick!!! Any detailed shots of the welding and metal fitting battles? I should start a thread on my October 58 dc. Your dc is no roach!

Kick ass bro!! I love the stance!! Don't know if I missed it, but how it the truck lowered?

Damn that is nice! I love the way that looks!!!!! Thanks for sharing the pics. Any of the interior? I would like to see how the rear of the front seat looks.

Again GREAT job!

Thanks! For stance, flipped spindles in front non-narrowed beam, type 3 rear end with bus backing plates and drums. Running stock tires in front and 165/45 upfront on stock 15" wheels.

I'll post more under construction picts when I find them. I'll also post the interior install once I have the dampening material installed.

Was it already lowered when you got it or did you lower it? I am still trying to think of the best way to do mine in the near future. I have read plenty but am still up in the air.

Can you take some pics of the pressings in the wall under the rear seat. Just wondering when they changed them.

I'm with you Hansolo. My buddies DC that has flipped spindles looks odd when turning. I have a friend that will weld adjusters in my beam for free. He did a great job in my Ghia with me helping him.

I actually checked it out today. No spindles, just an adjustable front beam. My brother suspected spindles, but I didn't really check it. After you asked, I decided to check. I did not lower it, that was done by the PO many, many years ago. I just reworked the rear end so I could use bus brakes and drums instead if the setup that was in there before.

Cool thanks. I really like the stance of it so I was wondering what you did to make it look like that. Gives me a starting point for sure.

Yes those. Hard to tell in that pic. Mine is an August 59 build and has the pointy pressings. What month in 59 was this built?

I'll snap some pictures for you today. I will say that the ride is smooth. More comfortable than my 66 Deluxe with spindles.

Engine Running.

Cuņado Wear Sun Apr 29, 2012 12:44 pm

Nice tread!!
Are you planning to run that exhaust though?

ldsvwguy Sun Apr 29, 2012 2:42 pm

No. The headers don't fit and while I like stingers on bugs, I don't like them on buses.
