I want my rims to look like early rims. I love the look of the smoothies but cant afford to get new drums to use the wide 5 lug pattern. Are there like beuty rings or something i can use on my stock rims to make them look like smoothies?

I remember seeing a volksrod that fiberglassed over the slots. I wouldn't really suggest that though. A set of baby moons makes it look pretty good though, and than just save up for the adapter hubs.

everybody always says though that you shouldnt use wheel adapters. What is the acctual problem with adapters. I know they do pose a weak spot in your wheels but if they are good quality and they are torqued down correctly, whats the problem with them?

get baby moon hubcaps for the older dome look.
and paint the centers black or a dark color to draw away from the slots.

Yeah - they work with baby moons - I have Spinsters discs on 2 different offset stock 4 lugs. |

One other comment - there are aftermarket chrome 4 lug smoothies, but almost every car I saw them on doesn't look right because of the offset - they are kicked out too far.
