hi guys,

need your help please, got new engine fitted to my 66 kg, due to porsche fan need to fit electric fuel pump, its a 2180cc with twin weber 44s with porsche fan kit, was thinking of fitting either a cb performance electric rotary fuel pump or a facet cube style pump(which is best) and also a filter king pressure regulator and gauge, where is best place to fit both in engine bay.
which is best location to fit external oil cooler + fan, inside engine bay right hand side inside of arch or outside underneath?

CB pump.

Put the cooler under the car by the transaxle.

Been told if I use cb pump will have to fit near petrol tank, is this correct?

Correct, electric pumps are "pushers" and need to be near the tank.

Ok, so best option cb pump fitted at the front by petrol tank, filter king fitted on engine firewall behind engine and oil cooler by transaxle.

I've been wanting to get an Efuel pump myself. Finally whipped out the plastic and pulled the trigger after reading this.

Now I'll need an FP regulator, T, and gauge. :shock:

It's amazing if you have correct "manufactures name & part number" what you can find on Inte-net "SHOPPING" sites....

I plan on replacing my noisy facet with a carter rotary. Link provided shows a 3.5 or 5.5 psi option. Which is better for a single 2 barrel Weber set up? Thanks.

The 3.5 is the correct one. Plenty of juice to the Gasser!

Regulator is not needed for the Carter/CB 3.5 pump.

Thanks gents. I'll get the 3.5 Carter and forego the PR. But will keep the noisy facet in place as backup.

^^the Carter rotary is very nice. I just installed one for my 1904 with Webers. Runs perfect. I removed my regulator since it was acting like a restriction at first. They do regulate themselves, as a previous poster mentioned. Mine came with a screwy filter that would not fit my fuel line. You can still hear the Carter, but over the engine...probably not. My engine is FAR louder than the pump (mounted inside my front clip near the ID tag).

I will add, I dont get any flooding or leakage BS either. The constant 3.5 PSI is probably perfect for routing fuel from front of car to rear, with a couple filters in between. I run 3 filters before fuel line hits engine compartment.
