So need some help. I've got a 74 std bug and i want to at least put older fender on it to make look pre 67 but I dont know what I need to do to make it happen. also if anyone has some ideas for the car let me know.[/b]

Did the same thing to my 69. They bolt right up. Only issue will be your bumper brackets. The early front bumpers mount through the front apron, so the fenders don't have slot in them.

I did it to my 70. Changed the apron, bumper brackets, earlier brake fluid res., early chassis, filled in gas door, earlier tank, earlier fenders and hood, early convertible dash mounted hood release, took off vinyl dash and filled in the blanks, earlier wipers, ect ect..... Rear apron, 65 vert engine lid. Like 401 resto's, I am still using the 70 doors.
I did it to a 70 because it was a fat chick anyway. No loss.

Use 67 doors and mod'd strikers and latches and your good.

We had a set when we did Josh and beth's but they were pretty shoddy...not till years later did I find a nice set..but after losing the paint code and custom mixing the first batch of color we decided to leave em!!

Schell, on that bug you did. What did you bolt the rear to when you did the jig to hold the pan sideways.. I see you bolted to the front pan, what did you use on the rear. Im doign the same thing and need idea on the rear..
