That totally sucks, I'm sorry :(

I was just going to buy a hood lock for my bug ... I hope it helps keep my gas tank from running off :/

That's terrible.

What i can't figure out is why the gas tank? :? I mean I've heard of people stealing the whole car, the engine, even the wheels but the gas tank????. I don't really know what they could get out of a gas tank. Sorry that happened.

At least the thing that they stole isn't that expensive to replace.

that's crazy.

20 years ago it was apparently some kinda fashion to go stealing distributors around nanaimo, vancouver island.

i was kinda puzzled that my nephew always locked his engine lid untill he told me why.

In my opinion, a locking engine lid handle is the 1st modification to be done to any vw beetle.

man people steal random stuff. not to hijack, but i had a buddy have he just restored '62 rag-top stolen from his house, they took the motor, starter, and battery. and then dumped the car in a fry's parking lot.
