I am really looking forward to Bug O Rama #69. It has been 8 months since last years Bugo and I can't wait. The drag racing is going to be the highlight of the weekend.

I'm looking forward to it too! The swap meet is the highlight of my weekend!

Best part is, my new shop is less than 8 miles away!

The swap is the place to be..... I'll be there with a host of rare parts.

bugnut68 Thu May 24, 2012 11:53 am

Will be there with camera in hand on the starting line... hoping to try and get some pix at the big end of the track, too, as chutes pop. Good times. Don't really have much of a shopping list this go around, aside from t shirts for family members and anything that may appear to be a killer deal for future use! lol

Oh yeah... not to mention In-N-Out conveniently located a short drive away on Sunrise! 8)

Got you covered Mr. B

Yo Mr. Turkis-Deluxe,

Save me a spot in the swap area, bombing down from Oregon in the 66 CrewCab this year! Big pimping with some split bus, baywindow, and other VW parts! Planning on making it before the gates close for the night.

Over and Out, Mr. Armstrong

I will be selling in the swap area. For those older VW people that remember the Red Rider race Ghia from back in the day, I am going to have parts from the original motor in my swap area. The original driver/owner lives in the Sacramento area and still has the motor to this day. He is interested in selling the motor assembled and complete (minus ign). Drop by my swap and if nothing else check out a piece of VW racing history before it gets sold.

Very cool! Look forward to seeing it (I already know I can't afford it! )

Hi Y'all,
I could use some discount tickets for my two kids, wife and myself. Any suggestions? JUST got done rebuilding and installing the daughter's 1600 yesterday and would love to cruise the gig.
Thanks!
Nick

If you swap and end up making more $ than you spent, that's kinda like a discount!

Missed out, but had a good Bug day. Beast is alive, probably bad gas as it's backfiring and afterfiring. Dry Gas and Fresh fuel tomorrow. Hope all had fun! Next year we'll drive him in.

Had a good time today at the show. Nice turn out and some good stuff at the swap

Anyone know where to find the car show results for Bugorama 69 Sacramento ?

My swap crap sold like fresh crack in the ghetto ...

rain? again?...

All in all we had a good time, swap was good, but far smaller than last time. I was able to score some goodies though. I was surprised at how quiet saturday night was. It was a pretty mellow crowd, no 3 am bass to get woke up to, or loud ass stinger exhausts.
Hey, does anybody have any pics posted up yet?

jsturtlebuggy Mon May 28, 2012 11:44 am

Was a good show, Started out slow early in car and swap meet areas, by mid morning crowd started showing up.
Car show was packed with little open space by noon.
Swap meet was decent in size, it stretched passed first return road.
I had a great time. Won first place in Buggy class with my Kick Out.
Thanks to all the all the people that take the time and effort make this a great show.

Well I had a great weekend. Sat night I was at the Marvin camp watching them tear down the race engine and put it back together for next days race. Yes, they split the case in half and rebuilt it right there and raced the next day. Awesome in my book.

I didn't set any sell records in the swap area Sunday, but still had fun giving away some of my $1 toys to some of the kids that walked up with their parents.

I wanted to say Congrats to Beau Judge for winning the Pro Mod class with his street looking, sunroof Bug. He wasn't the fastest, but with that awesome r/t, he was the one to beat.
