I have seen some local ads on 15 windows and they
Won't list a price saying they are rare and are taking offers
What makes them so rare and what are the price ranges on them
In the different types of conditions
Just curious. I see rare more on 15 window ads than on 21 window ads |

They are not rare.
Rare Buses aren't for sale all the time.
If it's a '58 or earlier 15-Window that could qualify as rare though.
More so if it's a walk-through.
Price is hard to say, everything depends on condition.
Watch the ads for a while and keep track of the asking prices and maybe that will help. |

| Most people would have ticked the option and gone for a royal with chesse a deluxe 21/23 window. What most people forget is that most brazilian spec bay windows are 15 window so that in itself isn't rare. The only aspect is that this wasn't a very popular option not because it was more expensive or hard to get. But because it was where someone has chosen not to opt for something. The vauge aspect with the value is playing on the same game with it being painted a colour. |

| A split bus in general is rare around these parts. I jumped all over my 15 when I found it because compared to others, it is rare. |

| Rare is a highly over-used word in selling buses. |

| "rare" and "desirable" are two totally different concepts. Buses of all configurations were produced by the thousands. A Gucci edition AMC Hornet wagon is rare. A 15 window is desirable. |

comparing a 15w to a 21wisn't right because 21w were made in the time period when the production number were really high
but for most people who walk into a dealership in the fifties-early sixties they were given a option
for $xxx you can have this 15w and for $x more you can have skylight windows and a sunroof
the price difference wasn't much so why won't you go for"nicer" model? |

| So, It's the same now. If you can't afford a 23 window then go for the more modest 15 window. :( |

More so if it's a walk-through.
For that reason alone :!: |

| Rare or not, as ugly as my bus is right now, it still gets a ton of attention. Anytime I go somewhere in it, I can park next to a brand new Vette or some really nice Chevelle and everyone always come over to the bus first. LOL, |

X34513458913475 Couldn't agree with this more. I wouldn't kick a double door that has been converted into a 15 window out of my driveway either. Or, a double cab with corner windows. :D |

I think I can venture a reason why 15s attract dollars.
People LOVE those curvy plexiglass windows.
And they aren't as common as 11s or Panels or SCs.
Plus here in Oz they're really rare, more even than 23s as far as I'm aware.
I'd love one but I think to afford one I'm going to have to have a Panel or 11 Window converted to 15. |
