Hi,
I was given a frosted glass convex lens for my '49 Standard's interior light but it wouldn't fit in the housing. It's about 2mm bigger in diameter than the repro I've just bought which fits perfectly. The larger lens profile is exactly the same and it also has light traces of rust around the outer edge which looks like it had a similar spring ring holding it in place. Do you think this is from another VW model or have I been given something from another make of car entirely?

| Must have been from another make. All the round VW dome lights were teh same size. I believe. |
