I am talking to a chap on TheSamba that has made a cool 181 sticker and I asked if he was up to making some other 181 stickers.
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1275502
The sticker that I had in mind was an old 181 German club sticker on my rear spare tire cover. Probably from 1996. I mail ordered it back then from the club but can find no remains anymore, so no one to contact to get permission or anything; or order another…
If enough 181 Volks would like some I will have them made and then Blakbug can sell them.
Any takers.
I now have a 15” tire so a new cover is in order and it needs a sticker… |

That may be the litteral translation but I think "What else" would be closer to the contextual translation. |

The original sticker is 4". I like it quite a bit but maybe it can be improved slightly, like my car...
Any ideas?
Blakbug "David" indicated he is happy to accommodate a group buy. Maybe if we just get enough Volks you can all go to him in the end. We need a qty. of 75 to get started.
Who is in and how many might you like? |

JJ, it's looking great.
Please take the following offering as constructive criticism:
The original photo posted by Solomon has some features that add some charm to the image and make it look less like a simple line drawing. Look at the wheels - there is a reflection on the hub cap and a shadow on the rim of the wheel. Also, notice how the white portions that describe the top of the hood and fenders also look like reflections and describe the curves there.
There are some kerning issues with the type as well, but that could just be an artifact of the low-rez screenshot. Illustrator is especially bad at rendering type at screen resolution. If you're using Illustrator on a Mac, you can open the Illustrator document in Preview before taking a screenshot and it will look much better.
As I said, your work is great, and I'm offering my opinions from one designer to another with the best intentions. :D
FWIW, I prefer the bolder type in the earlier versions. |

Thanks for the info mate and for the suggestions. I understand what you mean. I've tried to keep the design simple since it's a small design and it's not meant to be seen from close and for pinting options. I'm working with Coreldraw and just changed the font and fixed a little bit. I have also tried to add the charm you have told me to the Things. We can always take a picture of a Thing and work it to get a realistic look. I also want to share an Idea for a Thing Jeans version.

Any last comments before we press these bad boys...?
I think we should make the font more like the original from Germany. |

| If you like the designs I made I can send them to you and have them print in USA. I'm in Mexico so I think is easier for you to get them done there. Greetings |
