This has been sitting at my shop for at least 20 years, longer than I have owned the shop. Does anyone know what years it would have been used and is it worth saving for another 20 years?

1955 thru May59 for bus. 1955 thru 1960 for beetle/ghia. Has RGBs for bus on it, but could easily have beetle gearing in it.
Put it up in the classifieds for sale. |

That is how all Split-case transmissions are.
I don't know the exact reason but I think you can do some adjustments through those block off plugs? |
