hi guys, i have this cool old steering wheel/button, but it's a weird one. can anyone tell me what it came off? it looks like a Rometch but it has a small tapered smooth mounting hole :shock:

Don't know about the wheel, but the horn button is from an Amphicar. It has the Lubeck castle on it, which is where the Amphicar was made (in Lubeck).

nope, it even has threaded holes on each side to attach a puller.

Its a Petri wheel found in late 50's Rometch coachbuilt cars. It is also found in the Stahlgruber catalogue.

rometch steering wheels were splined. it is petri though.

That style of wheel was used on Rometch cars , yes, but they were also offered as accessories for other cars.
