I bought an o-berg filter from someone who signed his name as Ernie and was told to send a money order to Kevin A. 91-1070 Hanaloa St., Ewa Beach, Hi. 96706 . Then was given the sad story that his car was broken into and the parts got stolen along his lap top but he had another one coming. He told me to send e-mails to proWrd@aol.com and he would relay the messages. Anyway prowrd@aol.com (Chris) said that if I wanted to money back because it would take a few days to get the other filter and send it. I said that was fine. The filter was claimed to have been sent on 8/12. Never got it and I am on Kauai. P.O. said I should have gotten it in the most 3 days. Luckily it was a small amt. I guess there are bad guys everywhere.

It sucks getting your car broken into....

A few years ago, I had a $300 exhaust sent by the USPS take 43 days to come 400 miles.
I would have regretted flaming him in the forums after only eight days.

i'm unclear how people seem to think they know how long packages will take to arrive since the post office can't seem to figure it out.

if you buy stuff in the mail alot you understand that reciving dates are very flexible, but when you first started mail oredering stuff it sucked everyday when shit wasnt there. want it fast go to the store

This is the same guy who sold me a berg shifter and nothing has been shipped as of today. All that happened was that his email account was deactivated. So the guy did have fraud in his mind in the first place.

I know at least one other guy who bought that shifter (which most probably does not even exist) from 'ernie' and he has not received anything.

I've informed AOL to take a look who's behind this username, no reply from AOL as of today. I've mailed them 3 times about that.

I sure would like to pay a visit over there...

got ripped off on a line loc and have been contacted by several others as well. Someone is gonna find this Kevin Ariola in Ewa Beach and teach him a lesson someday...

My best friend bought the BERG shifter back in July 25th when it first came on. I was up late that night when it came on and shot my best friend an email about it and the next day he got ahold of that fu#$%er and sent a money order off. He sent him the money for the shifter and the MSD coil for $88.00. Never got anything yet and now looks like everyone else is getting burn too on the same part. My best friend is station over in Japan. I'm restoring his 67 Bug for him. Now he has to buy another BERG shifter. They did find out he cashed the money order on July 29th. No emails, no phone calls, its like this fu@#ker fell off the earth Come on small island and nobody never heard of him. Help us out on finding this turd!!! Someone needs to stop this guy. Peace!

Thanks for the help Mer. I an glad some people on this website actually care enough to warn people of what Kevin did. I am the wife of the above posts B/F. This person Kevin really deserves whatever he gets form whoever finally finds him. I am very weray now of letting my husband order anything. This was our first order and maybe our last. Please warn people of this person and keep track of his emails.

sounds familiar huh? The guy used do have wired4werk@aol.com so that email sounds a bit familiar...

Also, no phone number whatsoever and selling a Berg shifter again and the location is Hawaii.

Any word on the police report that someone posted?

Unless the guy reads the classifieds.... maybe if a few of us all respond to the ad and see if he tells anyone of us that it is already sold... if not then that might prove mal-intent.
And if we all promised to send him the MO right away he may think he has his bills covered for the month!... LOL til no payments show... gee that might teach him a bit of a lesson.

No picture of the shifter, no name just Initials? sounds pretty shifty. :roll:

Why not just everyone tell him we're going to trade him the PDA he wants, and then negotiate it so you both send at the same time, and then see if the shifter shows up. If it does, apologize, send it back, and be on your way.

The 'shifter' is not sold, at least wasn't yesterday and pictures are not available, I know, I asked for them.

I did get a quote on the shipping though :)

I am wondering that perhaps I should find out how kula managed to proceed with the police report he said that he'd make. I guess not too good as the wanker is still conning people.

Hey, more intelligent people :) do tell me how the law works in the US in connection with these kind of frauds?

If I am to make a report, what information I should have upon filing a report?

Which are the odds in catching up the guy?

If he's caught, what kind of penalties he might get?

I really REALLY would like to take the 2nd step with this one as I would love at least one prick to get what he deserves and out of making people's x-mas bad..

51split... first off do you have any of the old e-mails saved? what method of payment did you use?, and do you have a way to check out when the payment was cashed/deposited and such? Details and documentation are necessary if you even going to get a legitmate complaint filed.

In reality there may be little you can do,( except file a complaint to various organizations) the way things are these days :roll: scumbags are having too easy of a time ripping people off with internet sales scams. :x
