Read the note at the bottom of the wiring diagram legend. There is a test connector in your ghia's engine bay - unless a previous owner removed it. When used in conjunction with the original diagnostic machine VW dealers had, it would provide feedback to technicians working on the car.
Think of it like an older version of the OBDII connector found on new vehicles. |
