Kelley Park is once again upon us, this year it will be April 22, 2012 8 am to 3 pm

There will be another special gathering the on Friday, April 20 at Marks place, "Vintage VW Open House" in Mountain View.
I suggest we continue the tradition of Sat. night @ Harry's Hofbrau in San Jose. That would be on April 21st say at around 5 or 6 pm.

My Thing motor is still chilling at Jensen Enterprises... But I plan on rolling to KP in my '56. Don't think I'll make MM's friday, Hoffbrau is unlikely.

If you are going to Kelley Park Sunday make sure to Pre-Reg your car ASAP!

If you are going to Harry's Hofbrau in San Jose the car show will be in the parking lot starting at 5pm Sat.
Even if your Thing is non functional please just show up with a picture of your car and hang out. All with a good attitude are welcome.

Pre-reg'd for the show, but I'm coaching a soccer game until about 5pm up here in Alameda - I'll probably be able to get down to Harry's at about 6pm. Save me some dessert! :D

I've been looking forward to the meet up ever since I bought my thing last June, but crisis at home dictates I be there to assist.

But I did leave a little surprise for you guys with the Hofbrau manager. Hope you enjpy them, love to get your thoughts about them.

The pre Kelley Park get together was great. Here are some pics, I am sure there are better ones but the group shot inside was rather dark.

Peggy is wearing her new shirt today, thanks Dan. Food was good, company was great. At get togeathers like this you really get to know your fellow Thingers. Not just car stuff, but peoples other intrests, families, etc.
We decided on ribs for the get togeather at my house in May.

Pics of the Kelley Park show, There were 11 Things and the 1st place was the lowered 73, with the perfect green Thing as 2nd.

I think we had the best spot in the show in the shade of some large trees, maybe next year we will get 15 or 20, there is space there.

I spent the first two hours collecting $$ at the entry gate from 8 til 10 and so earned my entry and a free T-shirt.
