on a 65 bug, wat does it mean when the red flashes on the odometer mean, just changed the battery, bug idles good. |

It can mean lots of things. Idle speed too low, poor connection on battery just replaced, loose fan belt, etc. What did you change and what was it doing before you monkeyed with it? Changing things and then getting a new flashing dash light is generally a good clue (in this case, the red = generator light and references a deficiency in the electrics if you've still got it hooked up correctly). |

Worth making sure the wires to the two lights have not been reversed sometime in the last 40 or so years.
